The River Gardens Cafe serves cooked meals & homemade baking all day. We are also renowned for our popular Whitby Crab Sandwiches & homemade Scones with Jam & Cream. Here at the River Gardens Cafe we try & source our food locally.

We have various menus available from snacks through to Whitby caught Cod & Chips. The Cafe is licensed, allowing you to relax and enjoy a glass of wine or cool beer with your meal whilst watching the beautiful River Esk flow by.

We have regular sightings of Otters and Kingfishers on our stretch of the river and you can watch the Whitby to Grosmont steam train pass by on the opposite river bank.
